What a relief. Friday night Kevin and I went out for dinner to our newest favourite "cheap and cheerful" restaurant. It's not the cheapest place we've ever gone to but it's definitely one of the friendliest. It's called Antonio's (on the Queensway), almost across from Mama Martino's. On Saturday, I finally found time to clean part of the house and I will probably do more today. I went to Brandt Meats and bought beef for Rouladin.
We decided to make the rouladin for dinner but we were short on time so we found the pressure cooker and cooked them in an hour instead of four hours. They were really tender but almost overcooked. Have either of you made these before? Any suggestions?
Yesterday we also dog sat, Lucy, so that Gaelan an Brendan could check out venues for the wedding in the fall. They have their hearts set on a fair ground out in the country and wait for this..... trailers for the guests to sleep in. They are also checking out hotels in the area for the less adventurous. Looks like two possibilities are Caledonia and Alliston. I'll keep you posted. I'm sure the plans will change many times over the course of the next few months.
If you haven't checked out Gaelan's new website for her business, here it is:
She posts new information everyday. She's trying to get as many people as possible to check it out so tell your friends. Anyone looking for a less traditional wedding should find this interesting.
Cathy post some of your pictures from your vacation. I'd love to see them. Chris any plans for your wedding, like when, maybe?
Hugs, love and kisses
Both Dan and I have to get divorced first. I have already gone to see the lawyer and I have contacted John. John is fine with it, probably because I will be paying for the whole thing. Well at least he thinks so. I received a rebate cheque from Toronto Hydro yesterday. This after going back and forth for months, trying to prove I was the owner of The Sewing and Knitting Circle. Not so easy when, after 10 years of closing the business, I have no records left. They get destroyed after 7. But I finally found something that they accepted, and they processed the cheque. It's a little over $1,000.00, just enough to pay for the divorce. At first I thought I should give John half the rebate, because it was for the store, but then I figured, that by my keeping all of the rebate John ends up paying for half of the divorce. Fair is fair.
ReplyDeleteAs for the wedding, we haven't made any plans yet, but I do know it won't be a traditional, white dress, big hall wedding. Since we belong to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, we will get married there, but other than that I am open to suggestions and if Gaelan is willing (because of the distance) I would love some ideas. Do I get a family discount?????
Gaelan posts new ideas five days a week and most everything is non-traditional. I'm assuming you'll want country chic. How long does it take for a divorce to go through, anyway?
